Let’s look at the actual job role:

We’re looking for a creative designer with front-end developer skills who is passionate about creating outstanding work. You’ll have the chance to be part of the creative, design and development process, including conceptualising, user journey development, creating wireframes/prototypes, overseeing user testing, designing mock ups and front-end coding in HTML/CSS, JS libraries and other languages/frameworks as needed.

About You:

You’re a creative designer who is passionate about creating fantastic websites. You’ll be talented at creating beautiful designs in Photoshop. You’ll have had experience creating stunning print and web design work, but you’ll also have tried your hand at coding and will feel comfortable learning more about HTML and CSS to help with the development process. Whilst predominantly a designer, you’ll be interested in all parts of the process.

We love keen, happy, intuitive people who can contribute their own ideas and have the ability to take ownership of projects and continue to learn and develop themselves as individuals.

For this role, we also require you to have at least 12 months previous agency experience and an up to date, relevant portfolio.

Key Skills:

  • Superb Photoshop and design skills
  • Hand-coded HTML/CSS knowledge
  • Experience working with CMS – predominantly WordPress
  • Knowledge of usability, accessibility and design standards/practises
  • Ability to interpret complex requirements and briefs
  • Enthusiasm for an iterative design process, driven by group input and critique
  • Collaboration skills and ability to work in an agile team environment
  • Knowledge of Javascript beneficial
  • Knowledge of SASS and front-end build tools such as Grunt, Bower and Node a massive bonus
